Access Statement

We will always try our best to cater for all our guests’ needs.

We are situated in a quiet rural area a literal stone’s throw away from Llangrannog beach. Driving down into the village you will primarily be driving on small country lanes and B roads. There are two train stations both just under 30 miles away from us (Aberystwyth and Carmarthen); other public transport options are extremely poor from within the village. There are local taxi services available with prior booking.

During the winter months there is ample parking in the village, but parking in peak season (July and August) can prove difficult. During the peak season there is a park and ride system that runs from a free car park approximately half a mile away from the pub. We reserve limited parking spaces for our bed and breakfast guests but cannot guarantee you a space. The Ship Inn car-park is located 50 yards away from the Pentre, this has an overnight charge applicable.

The bar is easily accessible in a wheelchair or while using other walking aids, although the toilets are up two small flights of stairs with a handle on one side, and are not disabled friendly. There is however a disabled toilet with access via a raider key 70 yards away from the pub. As it is an old building, the pub is on three different levels, meaning there are steps not only to the toilets but into the restaurant as well. Although we do serve meals in the bar area, it is extremely difficult to get to other areas of the building if you are wheelchair bound.

The bed and breakfast accommodation is all situated on the first floor, where again disabled access is minimal. All public areas are well lit and all stairs fitted with handrails. Our friendly staff are always happy to help guests with bags and luggage to ensure you have a comfortable arrival and departure from our accommodation.
